Part I - Entry Level - Shows you where you can find more
information about windsurfing and why wide boards are important.
Part II - Take A Lesson - Lists a few reasons to take a
lesson and what to look for in a lesson site and instructor.
Part III - Learning on Land - Video of the basic windsurfing
positions and turns you will learn during a first lesson.
Includes some practice drills you can do at home to prepare
you for your first lesson.
Part IV - Equipment - Shows how a sail is rigged and looks
at three different wide style boards choices for your first
board.

The Making of How to Get Started Windsurfing
Video in the project was recorded using an old VHS-C Camcorder
I bought on EBAY for $30. For building DVDs I use Pinnacle
Studio Plus 10 software along with a Pinnacle capture card
which I have an old VHS tape player attached. My PC is a
couple of years old, a HP DC5000 with 1 gig of memory. After
I purchased it I added a Pioneer 16x16 DVD burner player
to it. I recently bought a 2nd disk drive for DVD projects,
a Maxtor 235 Gig hard drive for $91. The temporary rendering
files and such for a 30 minute project can easily use up
30 Gig. Most all computer supplies I buy from CDW.com.
For the "How to Get Started Windsurfing" project
in Studio 10 I have six separate projects. The introduction
and each of the four chapters are separate projects. From
each of the separate projects I output an .avi file. The
complete version of the project adds the DVD menu with the
five .avi files included in.
