Windsurfing Lessons

 

If you are looking for windsurfing lessons from the Amokaman I'm happy to report I will be offering lessons starting late May 2012. A windsurfing lesson can be scheduled weekends or week days. A two hour lesson for one person including tax runs $90. If a couple wishes to learn at the same time a three hour lesson is $135 including tax. The format for two is simply person one is instructed the first 90 minutes and person two the second 90 minutes. Our ten plus years of instructing experience has taught us that one new student on the water at a time is only way.

To schedule a lesson date and time.
1. Wait until three or four days beforehand
2. CHECK the weather and winds (click on the detailed extended forecast)
3. If sunny and winds under 18 mph
4. Email us with date, preferred time, along with home and cell phone numbers.
5. I'll get back to you ASAP

The lesson site we use is usually the inland swimming lake at Maumee Bay State Park, the launch site at the back of Lot #1. Google Directions.

Additional information:
* Be sure to bring a hat, sun lotion, towel, t-shirt and drinking water as you get double sun on the water!
* We furnish water shoes and life vest if you do not have your own.
* There is park restroom facility a short distance from the launch.
* Please try to be there at least 20 minutes in advance so you are ready to start on time.
* If something comes up last minute, weather turns bad, etc .. leave message on my cell # early morning, as I leave home for site an hour or more ahead of time.
* Can take MC/VISA at site, check or cash ok to :-)
