Inside Fixing

The old 3 way fridge I removed. You can't see it but I fitted
in a clear piece of plexiplastic on the back of the vent to close up the
draft there during the winter. Also I fitted in a piece of wood above
to close off the huge hole going up to the roof vent for the winter. I
put a cap on the LP gas line that hooked to the old fridge. I had to caulk
the inside corners and drill a couple little drain holes on the outside
of the vent because after a rain I could see water was leaking in through
the little diagonal slits on the edge of the alumimum vent framing.
New formica on the table top wasn't so hard at all
to do. I just used an old tin snips to cut the formica. Where the paneling
was delaminating because of water damage in the front corners I peeled
just the top layer off. Then I contact cemented on some formica,
yeah I should have hunted for a lighter color but that's what I had lying
around. It sure looks better then the rotting splittering stuff that was
there. I can only pray that underneath there is still good support in
the middle and on the sides. Those side walls look to be only 5/8 plywood
with tin on one side and light paneling on the other! But that's what
makes Scotty a little light on it's feet.

New light in the closet / portapotti room. Sometimes things just
work out. The blue electric box had holes that matched up perfect with
holes in the brown box already there. Just two long screws and it was
secure. The plastic pull change fixture I notched the side where the pull
chain comes out so it would work right mounted on it's side. I'll cover
up the boxes or at least paint it brown some day.

Yup .. plenti of room for Scotty's potti. I tore
out some old shelves that were in the closet. The closet pole is still
there and at 5'7' I've plenty of room though someone large in stature
would surely have troubles with this setup.

The blinds have hold down brackets on the bottom of them on each side
and several of were broke or missing. After hunting around the Internet
for a few hours for them I found a local trailer shop had a few extra
lying around for free.

New 1.7 cubic foot GE fridge. It even has a little ice box. Cost was
$108 from appliancecenterdirect.com which happens to be located like 5
miles from me and because of that there was no delivery fee.

The second cupboard up I removed along with the supports that were there.
I added more support under the first shelf to support the new fridge.
Above the fridge I added supports for a new shelf where the A/C unit sits.
The Appliance Center in Maumee had a nice small unit for under $100.

Here is the final setup fo the A/C. There is a bathroom
exhaust fan in the back which is needed to move air up and out the the
old gas vent. The 1/4" foil insulation prevents heat from the A/C
unit from heating up the inside walls. Without the foil insulation it's
like having a hot oven going which negates some of the cool air being
put out. That little bit of foil really made a difference.

Here is how it looks all put together.
