Scott's "Lucky Dog"

Paint Job

Summer 2007

New Pad for Lucky

We scrapped off some top soil and had some stone delivered for a new parking pad beside our detached garage. We don't need to paint the aqua or gold. The first section will be the front side so "let the sanding begin!"

I masked off with newpaper and masking tape which didn't take long then used the new spray gun. I wasn't experience at all with spraying and the paint should have been thinned a bunch. I had to take a big 5 inch wide brush and smooth it out. The paint was very nice to work with and had a slow drying time. I painted late in the evening on a humid hot day.

This paint dried to a very nice hard shine. I'm very happy with it.

The electric spray gun really speeded up the process and as I mentioned before I still kept a brush going to even out where I got on to thick or to thin. As of this writing I've only done the door side and front. I plan to thin out the paint on the back side.

Here we are with some new white paint. I didn't paint over the original sticker though I wish I would of. I thought it would look ok but now plan to get a new decal and hopefully they are the same size.
