2011 July .. We have been lazy and not adding to our Lucky Dog travels page last couple summers.. But here is a shot of Lucky at the New London Ohio Reservior Redezvous Regatta July 2011. A great place for a windsurfing campout on the water. No hookup here but great location for a bit of windsurfing. The campground is about 90 minute drive from Toledo.
2008 September - the Lucky Dog goes gambling. We camped overnight in the RV lot at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant on the way to Higgins Lake. I had a great time playing video poker late into the evening. Great buffet in the main casino and a cheap breakfast with free coffee at the the Little Soaring Eagle cafe located at the back of the bingo hall. The only difficulty was finding a spot that was level. They really have the lot graded every which way.
2008 - July 17-20 Lucky Dog camps at the BSAF kite festival at Maumee Bay State Park. It was hot and I was oh so happy I installed an A/C unit in her.
2008 - June 2-3 Lucky Dog at the TABA regatta guards the boards overnight.
Higgins Lake Regatta - Sept 6-9, 2007: A windsurf regatta while camping at Higgins Lake South State Park in Michigan is a great way to celebrate the end of summer here in the mid-west.
Riding the ferry August 2, 2007: The dog braves the high seas on the Miller Ferry South Bass.
I-LYA 2007 regatta July 31 - August 2, 2007: Camping at St. Hazard's Resort Middle Bass Island on Lake Erie
BSAF North Coast Stunt Kite Games July 18-22, 2007: Lucky Dog camps at Maumee Bay State Park and helps sells kites at the field on the last day. Our first 4 night camping and all went pretty well. It was actually coolish at night with great open window sleeping weather. Many kiters camp in the same row and TG has a big camp fire to party at late into the evening with. I had several people stop me and ask what age the little Scotty was.
TABA Regatta June 2,3 2007: Lucky Dog goes to the beach and stays overnight guarding boards and sails left rigged for the next days races. It was very pleasant to have the little trailer at the event. I'm looking forward to taking her to the beach again.
