MOWIND is a volunteer group of active racers and event organizers in the Midwest. They help coordinate the yearly Midwest event schedule and provide a standardize set of rules and scoring methods.

MOWIND has event insurance. Purchasing regatta insurance to hold one event is very costly and in the past that expense discouraged people who would like to organize a new event. Now for a minimal fee a Midwest organizer can run their event as a MOWIND event and save hundreds on insurance costs.
